In preparation for the updated release of Shopping for Shares – the second edition which is due out later this year (the first edition is still in print though if you can’t wait that long!), I’ve decided to start a blog about my progress and also to provide more information to anyone who is interested in it such as sample chapters, background and so on.
Right now I’m about half way through the first draft of the update. I’ve been quite happy with my progress so far and I think it’s going well.
I’ve mainly been updating the graphs, tables and other images within the book with current day examples but more importantly adding new content – primarily adding even simpler strategies for us girls who don’t have a lot of time to invest in the markets but still want to maintain control which I’ve called “the lazy girls guide to investing”.
I’m also making it much more global friendly. Ever since I saw that my books are now available on Amazon I’ve started to think about making the book more helpful for an international audience.
Obviously it will still be focused on the Australian Stock Market since that is what I’m familiar with, but considering that I honed my techniques by reading international investors like Warren Buffet and the like, it shows that the ‘rules’ I’ve created for choosing winning stocks are the same the world over.
So far my sales on Amazon have been very slow which I suspect is because I’ve got no reviews there yet (if you have read my book then I would love you to write a quick review on Amazon if you have the time). It still sells very well here in Australia though.
Well I better get back to writing it then! Write more soon – Tracey xx
