Here’s a list of the most common questions I get asked, with my answers.
What price do you pay for a particular stock?
Anything below 16 x EPS.
For eg, AUB’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) as at April 2014 is 0.50. 16 x 0.50 = $8.00. If it’s currently trading higher than that (which as of writing, it is) I’d wait until the price dropped, or wait for the next financial report to see if the EPS is upgraded.
Do you do seminars? / Will you come talk at our investment group?
No. I’m too much of an introvert to stand up in front of a group of people and talk without dissolving into a blather of nerves. It’s nothing personal, I actually love hearing from you that my books have made a difference in your investment lives, but the whole speaking in public thing … not for me.
